Comprehensive Obstetric/Gynecological Care in Chesterfield, MO

We offer our patients quality, comprehensive Obstetric and Gynecological care in a friendly, comfortable atmosphere. We recommend scheduling regular examinations to protect your health. With early detection, most diseases are treatable and curable. Let us know if you are taking medications and any pertinent information related to them. This will help our physicians in determining your best course of treatment. If you have a question or problem, please let us know and we will do our best to obtain an answer or solution as quickly as possible.

We Are Available When You Need Us

The medical issues women may experience are widely varied, which may make it difficult to answer all of your questions over the telephone. This is why we recommend making an appointment if you are experiencing any specific problems. We want to accommodate your needs and will make every reasonable effort to make an appointment convenient to your schedule.

Make Your Appointment an Easy Experience

Our office is open Monday through Thursday at 9:00 am and Friday at 8:00 am. Each doctor maintains his/her own schedule of hours and strives to adhere to their schedule. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment to complete the check-in process so that you may be seen at your scheduled appointment time.

Please bring a list of your medications, insurance card and co-payment. If you cannot come in for an appointment, but require treatment or wish to discuss your care at length over the telephone, a consultation fee will be assessed. Appointments can be scheduled by calling our office at (314) 878-7333 during normal business hours.

Every attempt is made to adhere to the appointment schedule as closely as possible. Unfortunately, deliveries or emergencies do not occur on schedule and operations may also take longer than anticipated. When these situations arise, your patience is greatly appreciated. We will try to keep you informed of any delays, and if necessary, will reschedule your visit.

If you are unable to keep a scheduled appointment, please notify us 24 hours in advance. This allows us to make your time available to another patient as well as reschedule your appointment. If you do not cancel your appointment 24 hours in advance, a cancellation fee will be assessed. For their safety, children are not allowed in the exam room, and we also ask you to refrain from cell phone usage in the office. This allows you uninterrupted time to discuss your concerns with your physician.

If you have an urgent problem, call our office. To reach your physician after office hours, on weekends or holidays, simply call our office at (314) 878-7333. If the office is closed please listen to the message and follow the prompts. Your message will be automatically forwarded to the physician on call. If you have an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. Please have the emergency room notify us. Appointments, prescription refills or test results are handled during normal business hours and will not be completed after the office is closed.

Prescriptions

We are now processing prescriptions electronically. Please provide information for your current local and mail-order pharmacy. For prescription renewals, call your pharmacy and request a refill. The pharmacy will contact our office for approval. Sometimes refill requests appear simple, but may require doctor approval, an examination or new instructions. In these cases, we may request an appointment for you before we refill the prescription. This will help you receive your medication in a timely manner and reduce telephone calls to our office.

Non-emergency prescriptions such as oral contraceptives, hormone replacement or pain medications may not be refilled after office hours or on weekends. For safety and privacy reasons, written prescriptions must be picked up at the office. A nominal fee is assessed if you need a medication refilled due to a lost prescription, lost medication or failure to take your medication with you when you are away from home.

Insurance and Billing

We accept assignments for Medicare and contract with most major insurance companies. However, some insurance carriers require you to be responsible for obtaining referral forms from your primary care physician. Without proper authorization from your primary care physician, or the absence of your insurance card at the time of your visit, we will not be able to properly file a claim with your insurance company. In this instance, payment is required at the time of your visit or you may be asked to reschedule your appointment.

You will be asked to verify your address, telephone number and insurance coverage at every visit. Please remember to bring your insurance card and personal identification with you to every visit. Our insurance department will file your claims and assist you in obtaining reimbursement.

Regardless of your insurance coverage, responsibility for payment remains your obligation.

Insurance co-payments are due at the time of your visit and if you have not met your deductible, that amount will be due as well. Payments can be made in cash, check, MasterCard, Visa or Discover. If you do not have your co-pay at the time of your visit, you may be asked to reschedule.

For any questions regarding insurance and billing, please call our business office at 314-878-7333 Monday through Thursday at 9am and Friday at 8am.

Medical Records

Our office makes every effort to comply with the HIPPA Privacy Act. You will be asked to sign a form stating how we can contact you and with whom we may speak with in regard to your care. We will not share your private information unless we have your written consent to do so. FMLA or disability paperwork will be filled out upon your request and a fee will be charged for each form required. While we never wish to see a patient leave our practice, we understand that situations may occur. Upon your written request a copy of your medical records can be mailed to the physician of your choice and a nominal copying fee will apply in compliance with state regulation.

We Share Your Concern

As you know, the entire healthcare industry is undergoing unprecedented changes which affect us all. Because of the changes, our medical practice must now charge for some services which are not reimbursed by usual insurance coverage. These fees are only charged when the service is used and we certainly appreciate your understanding. Educating our patients is an important part of our approach to your care. That means explaining your treatment in detail, providing information on your illness or treatment and generally making sure that you understand your healthcare.

Please feel free to ask questions. We’ll be happy to give the answers you need. We care about you and strive to provide the highest level of medical care. We want to work closely with you to keep you healthy and resolve your health concerns. You can help us by being aware of your needs and by following the treatment plans we agree upon.

Once again, welcome to our practice.
